Jeff Lagrew joined CES in the Fall of 2021 and serves as Chief Appraiser, responsible for the firm’s Commercial Order and Review process. He has served as a Real Estate Appraiser and Consultant throughout the eastern United States, the Bahamas and Canada. Jeff specializes in commercial and industrial appraising with special emphasis on income-producing and special purpose properties.

Prior to joining CES, Jeff was the Chief Review Appraiser for a regional bank. He has consulted and performed contract review work for a wide variety of financial institutions, from large national banks to small, local lenders.

Jeff holds the MAI and IA-GRS designations from the Appraisal Institute; the Senior Appraiser Real Property accreditation designation from the American Society of Appraisers; and the MRICS’s designation from the Royal Institutes of Chartered Surveyors. Jeff is also an Appraiser Qualification Board-Certified USPAP instructor and a nationally approved appraisal instructor for the Appraisal Institute. In 2008, He was appointed to the Appraisal Foundation’s appraiser qualification board, where he served until 2015.

Jeff is an attorney and the former Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He was recognized in 2000 as “Prosecutor of the Year” for Kentucky and Indiana by the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators.

Jeff is an avid blue water sailor. He is a nationally recognized and awarded sailing instructor and holds his US Coast Guard Captain’s License. Jeff is a graduate of Transylvania University and holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky.
